Dallas Patriots/Premier Teams Up With Special Olympic Athletes!

The opportunity to work with the Area 10 Special Olympic Athletes was an amazing experience for our athletes and staff.  It was a chance for us to open our doors to one of the best organizations in the country, Special Olympics.

The evening started with introductions and a big welcome for the athletes.  From there we worked on all types of baseball and softball skills that the athletes will use during their softball season.  After the skills training Premier Baseball Academy turned into one big pizza party to celebrate a great day.  After the pizza party all athletes received the official Dallas Patriot T-shirt.  The evening was a celebration of community, commitment and care for all athletes.

It continues to be our mission to engage our Dallas Patriot athletes in meaningful community service opportunities.  Serving Area 10 Special Olympics was a life changing experience for all of us a Premier Baseball Academy, we look forward to the next event.  Thank you Area 10 Special Olympic Athletes – you are all now official Dallas Patriots.

God Bless,

JAMES VILADE

Dallas Patriots Foundation Help Those In Need

Thank you so much for the introduction to the Dallas Patriot Organization and Logan and Haley Stout. They arrived at our shelter in December with gift cards that enabled all of the people who live here (130!) to receive a special Christmas gift. The parents who live here; used the gift cards to purchase their children’s Christmas presents. It was dignified and empowering for them and, of course, great for the kids. The Samaritan Inn, Collin Counties only homeless shelter, depends on support from the community and the Dallas Patriot Organization came through in a huge way for us, making Christmas 2009 the best we have ever had!

Sincerely,

Lynne Sipiora

About The Dallas Patriots Foundation

We recognize your support and contributions to making the Dallas Patriots what it is today, and you are instrumental in what our organization will become in the near future.  Our core mission statement is to honor God, strengthen the families mentally, spiritually and physically, while providing the best baseball experience possible!

We believe every young man who has the ability to play for one of our teams should be afforded the right to do so. However, the cost of select baseball for many families makes it impossible to play without financial support. With 10 years of mentoring young men both in life and in the game of baseball, every player to graduate from our program has been provided the opportunity to play college baseball.  We are proud to say with the help of outside funds and the generosity of many friends and family, every player has been blessed with the opportunity to play for the Patriots regardless of their financial situation.  Moreover, the families of the Dallas Patriots organization have lived out the power of selfless giving in our community with any and all excess funds raised.

The Dallas Patriots foundation believes it is our job to “reach in and reach out”, teaching young players there is more to life than baseball, and we are all called to serve a purpose greater than our own by helping those in the community that are less fortunate. Throughout the year we have community projects in place where players volunteer their time thereby understanding the importance of servant leadership. This past Christmas players visited the Samaritan Inn, the only homeless shelter in Collin County, and handed out 42 $50 gift cards allowing parents the dignity of purchasing a Christmas present for their children.

We are grateful that with the help of so many over the past 10 years we were able to impact the lives of the athletes that have come through our program. We strive to continue making a difference through the game of baseball!
