This is our third Christmas to spend some time at your camp. Zachary continues to ask if he can go, he is now 13, starting those hard teenage years, he continues to progress in baseball, but most important, he receives life instructions from you, your coaches and guest coaches, that he tends to turn off from his parents, thank you for your continued lessons of life, school/grades, baseball and especially, The Gospel!

Just wanted to take a minute and let you know that Brady Johnson (13 yrs old) thought the winter camp was awesome! He really enjoyed it and came away with some great instruction! Brady has been to several camps in the past but none like this one. I watched him hit yesterday and I couldn’t believe my eyes. I don’t know exactly what all he learned but it has definitely made a difference. It was worth every penny. (Can you do a refresher around April?) Thanks for the opportunity. Chifawn Johnson

Logan Stout – I wanted to send you a letter of thanks for a terrific first season with the Dallas Patriots. Since I recently moved from Florida to Texas, I wanted to be sure that I aligned myself with a baseball program that was based on integrity, intensity, a desire to be the best. Despite the fact that most of our players were new to each other, we came together as a team in a short period of time. I really enjoyed playing with my team mates. Our players were from cities throughout the state of Texas. Although some may think that would be challenging, we still managed to practice 2 – 3 times per week in addition to our competitive baseball season. As you know, baseball is a game of statistics. The Dallas Patriots website kept track of each player’s statistics throughout the summer. Within hours after each game finished, our scores and stats were immediately updated on the Dallas Patriots website. That by itself, is very impressive and a real motivator for someone like me. The Dallas Patriots offer many extras that benefit the players that many other clubs don’t have. The web-based player stats, the communication to the players through the website, the advanced planning for tournaments, the multiple practices throughout the summer, and the annual banquet are all great opportunities that other baseball clubs don’t offer.
Thanks for your intensity as a coach. I sincerely appreciate all of the time that you spent this summer helping not only me, but also many of our Dallas Patriot players. Many, many BIG thanks to Haley for keeping us all on track and doing all of the extra’s that make the Dallas Patriots Baseball Club the best. Your friend, Cody Brunk Dallas Patriots 16U Summer 2006

“Winning isn’t everything, it’s the only thing”. We have all heard that axiom muttered before. The question in my mind is, “In what context does it apply?”. A won-lost record is a definitive way to determine success on the field. Every team and organization strives to achieve the best record it can. The coaches are demanding at times as they should be, for after all, they want to win as much as anyone. What separates the Dallas Patriot organization from others are its core values and approach to attaining success. Sometimes I feel like the parents are evaluated as much as the players. No one enjoys sitting on the sidelines listening to constant complaining or even taunting.
With two boys participating, I have spent a lot of hours on the sidelines with caring and sharing people I now consider true friends of mine. Do not hesitate to allow your son the opportunity to be a part of an organization dedicated to winning while at the same time genuinely concerned about the growth of your child as an individual and learning the essentials of team competition and the value of relationships. To – Logan Stout, Bert DeLaGarza & Jerry Valdez Regarding – Patriots Baseball Date 11-02-06 Gentleman Our family has thoroughly enjoyed our first full season of Patriot’s baseball. We would like to thank each of you for the time spent with Toran on and off the field. The new quote around our household is “Play the Game”. Learning to “Play the Game” is great and Toran has learned a great amount of baseball from each of you, however it’s the other disciplines Toran has learned from you that will be most useful as he goes through life.
Hard work, dedication, setting goals, teamwork, mental toughness, facing adversity and playing to win while playing the game are a few of the disciplines that were expected of Toran this year. Gentlemen years from now when Toran and his teammates are responsible, successful contributors to society you will be fondly remembered for the time spent and lessons taught each of these young men. With great appreciation Brad Tillotson
